Floyd E. Chappell

CAROGA LAKE - Mr. Floyd E. Chappell, age 80, a longtime resident of Caroga Lake, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, at the Foltsbrook Center in Herkimer where he has resided these past few years.

Born on June 19, 1944, Floyd was the son of the late Floyd and Florence Chappell. After completion of his schooling, he enlisted with the United States Army and proudly served his country.

Floyd spent his working years in the construction industry, working as a general contractor. He was a 40 year member of the Caroga Lake Fire Department. He was a loyal neighbor and friend to many.

Final interment will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery at a future date and time to be decided.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate Funeral Directors.
