Floyd Bond

Floyd N. Bond, 77, of 7 Bridge St., St. Johnsville, passed away on Wednesday February 20, 2008. He was born August 30, 1931 in South Gate, California, the son of the late Oscar & Jewell (Burnett) Bond and was educated in California. Floyd was retired from the United States Navy as Operations Specialist First Class ? Radarman Second Class. After his retirement he settles in St. Johnsville and was joined in marriage to the late Marion Myers on January 26, 1980. He retired from the former MDS in Herkimer. Floyd was an avid sportsman, enjoying all types of sporting events and was active with the local bowling team. Survivors include a brother, Dean Bond of California, a sister Patricia Martin of California two step sons, Jay Myers, Jr., and wife Beverly of Canajoharie, & Robert Myers, Sr. and wife Bonnie of St. Johnsville, grandchildren, Pamela Myers and husband Dave, Jay Myers, III, Vicki Myers, Shelley Johnson and husband Paul, Robert Myers, Jr., and Stacy David and husband Ben, many great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews in California. Memorial service will be held on Saturday March 1, 2008 at 11:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY. Spring burial will be in St. Johnsville Cemetery.
