Flora Austin

ST. JOHNSVILLE-Mrs. Flora M. Austin, 90, of Roth St, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Wednesday August 19, 2009 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born on December 4, 1918 in St. Johnsville? daughter of the late Isaia (Joseph) and Velina (Giovampietro) Macci. On December 26, 1954 she was united in marriage with Laurence S. Austin. Mrs. Austin was a member of St. Patrick?s Church in St. Johnsville, was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, a Den Mother with the St. Johnsville Cub Scouts and a member of the St. Johnsville PTA. She was an avid bowler with the Friday night girls. She was employed as a Treasurer of St. Johnsville Central Schools as a secretary at Palatine Dye Company and Imperial Freight Lines in Albany. Survivors include her beloved son William of St. Johnsville, her sister in law Diane Macci of Croton, NY; her 2 nieces Sue-Ellen Zoller and Angela Meade; her 2 nephews Lee Macci and John Macci; several great nieces and great nephews and many friends. She is predeceased by her brothers Angelo Macci and Leondro Macci. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St. Saint Johnsville on Friday August 21, 2009 from 4-8pm. Mrs. Austin?s funeral will commence at 9:15am on Saturday August 22, 2009 from the chapel of the funeral home where prayer will be offered and at 10am from St. Patrick?s Church where the Rev. james Clark will celebrate her Mass of Christian Burial.. The procession will follow to St. Johnsville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the charity of your choice.
