ILION – Evelyn Balder passed away peacefully, in October, 2024.
She leaves her six children and their spouses and partners; her five grandchildren; her two great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law; and nieces and nephews.
A native of NY State, Evelyn was an award-winning fine artist, showing her work regionally and nationally. She was a member of multiple arts organizations throughout her life, including Munson, View, Mohawk Valley Center for the arts, and Utica Art Association. A lifelong gardener, she volunteered at the General Herkimer Historic Site Gardens, and was a member of the Ilion Garden Club.
