Eric G. Perry

HERKIMER – Mr. Eric G. Perry, 75, of Herkimer , NY , passed away with his loving family by his side, on Monday, March 11, 2019, in Herkimer , NY .

He was born on September 17, 1943, in Ilion , NY , the son of the late W.W. and Clara (Getman) Perry. He has been a resident of the Ilion and Herkimer areas for many years. He attended and graduated from Ilion schools. Throughout the years, Eric worked with Remington Arms in Ilion as an inspector and finisher. He served in the National Guard. He married Laura J. Kelly, in St. Francis de Sales Church , in Utica , on November 30, 1968, a union that lasted nearly 47 years until the passing of Mrs. Perry on September 29, 2015. He was of the Baptist faith. Eric and Laura had a great love of animals and were dedicated caregivers to their family.

Eric is survived by a daughter and son – in - law, Joann Kelly and her husband, Patrick; a son, Jeffery Perry; his four grandchildren, Carter and Isabella Perry, and Matthew and Grace Kelly; his brothers and sisters – in – law, Robert Kelly and wife, Cindy and John Kelly and wife, Ronna and Frederick Roland. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sister, Ellen Roland.

There are no visiting hours. A funeral home memorial service will take place April 10, 2019, followed by burial at the family’s convenience, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer .
