Elmer J. Heston, age 77, born to Elmer J. Heston Sr. and Virginia (Scioli) Heston on June 13, 1939, went home to his Heavenly Father on December 10, 2016.
After honorably serving in the United States Navy, he entered into a loving union of 54 years with Patricia Woolverton. He will be dearly missed by his wife; his children, Barbara, Bryan, Rusty, Keith and Tracey, along with their families; his sisters, Rosemary Puccio and Joan Rody; his brother, Robert Heston, and their families; and his sister-in-law, Mary McDonough and her family.
He was a caring and loyal friend to his co-workers at MDS and Turning Stone Casino, as well as all those who crossed his path along the way.
Family and friends are invited to attend Elmer’s visitation, which will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 5:00PM – 8:00PM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion (Town of Frankfort) 315-894-8000.
Elmer’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Thursday morning, December 15, 2016, at 9:15AM at the funeral home and at 10:00AM at Blessed Sacrament Church in Mohawk, where his Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated by Rev. Leo Potvin, concelebrated by Rev. James Horan, and assisted by Sister Mary Jo Tallman, Parish Life Director.
The Heston family has entrusted all service arrangements to Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia, Funeral Directors.
