Ellis Bacon

Mr. Ellis H. Bacon 75 of 550 East John Street Little Falls, former Richfield Springs resident, died unexpectedly Monday October 9, 2006 in Dolgeville. He was born in Little Falls on July 7, 1931 the son of Ellis C. and Lydia (Helmer) Bacon and attended Richfield Springs Central School. Ellis was first employed with his father working for the Rawleigh Company for many years. He retired from the New York State department of Transportation highway department where he was employed for many years. Ellis enjoyed driving his Mother to Florida and California, where they spent several winters, and also on long scenic trips throughout the United States. He is survived by two special Aunts, Dorothy Winsman of the Van Allen Nursing Home and Ruth Helmer of the Mohawk Homestead, his cousins Sandra Neely and her companion Jerry Martyniuk of Dolgeville, Michele Neely of California and George Bell and his wife Carolyn of Dublin, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date, with burial in the Salisbury Rural Cemetery. There are NO Calling Hours.
