ILION – Ellen Marie Coffin who was a resident of Ilion, New York, passed away Saturday the 25th of February, 2017 in her home.
Born January 23, 1951 in Charleston, South Carolina, a daughter of the late John Edward and Lillian (Ussery) Suggs. Many people will remember her from when she worked at Red Apple in Ilion, New York, where she was employed for twenty years. Ellie spent the majority of her time with her husband David and longtime friend Gomer, going fishing, picnicking, and long car rides through the country.
She is survived by her husband, David L. Coffin, her dog Lucky, her sisters Judy, Tish, and Ann, her brother Jay, two children, Joann Barhydt and Jac Walker, eight grandchildren, Cannon Carl, DJ Walker, Molly Walker, Earl A. Baker, III, Victoria R. Thomes, Lillian Marie Faith Baker, David R. Barhydt, and John D. Barhydt, Jr., and two great-grandchildren Finnegan M. Thomes and Bailey A. Slater. She was predeceased by her sisters Margaret and Athelia.
