ST. JOHNSVILLE – Ellen C. Carter, age 61, of St. Johnsville, NY, passed away peacefully, on Monday morning, May 16, 2022, at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, with her most loving and devoted mother at her side.
She was born on June 12, 1960, in Little Falls, New York. She was a daughter of the late Richard F. Carter and her mother is Edna C. (Waufle) Carter. Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family and always was surrounded with genuine concern. She was always “first”!
Ellen leaves many wonderful family members and friends, including her loving mother, Edna. Ellen is also survived by her brothers, Richard Carter (Sharon Flanders), of St. Johnsville and Roger Carter (Joan), of Herkimer; her aunt, Phyllis Jones, of Buel, New York; nieces and nephews, Tabitha, Joseph, Samantha, Terry, Polly and Paula.
She was predeceased by her father; and brother, James.
Her Graveside Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2022, at St. Johnsville Cemetery, at the family plot, with Rev. David A. Johnson, officiating.
It is the wish of the family that in lieu of floral offerings a donation be made in Ellen’s memory to the St. Johnsville Youth Center, 17 E. Main St., St. Johnsville, NY 13452.
All arrangements for Ellen and her family have been handled with the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, in St. Johnsville, New York (518) 568-2300, Funeral Directors Harry J. Enea, Jr., Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia.
