ILION - Elizabeth "Liz" Primmar, age 97, of 391 Otsego St., Ilion, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Mohawk Valley Health Care Center, Ilion.
She was born on June 15, 1915, in Herkimer, the daughter of Paul and Ann Poliak. Liz was married to Ernest Primmar in Ilion. He died on August 5, 2012. She was a homemaker and loved cooking and cleaning. Liz also liked needlepoint and crocheting. She made sweaters and gave them to military servicemen and veterans. Liz and her husband, Ernest, enjoyed relaxing at their camp at the St. Lawrence.
Survivors include her niece and goddaughter, Dorothy Corcoran; and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Ann Stanek and Susan Patricola.
A Memorial Service for Liz will be held 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, with Deacon James Bower officiating. Spring interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Herkimer County Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
