LITTLE FALLS - Elizabeth Polidori, age 95, a former resident of the Town of
Little Falls
, died Sunday, January 20, 2019.
She was born Sept. 26,1923, in Little Falls , the daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Godich.
She resided in
Rochester
NY
for the past 12 years, the last 6 years at the Jewish Home Cottage 3 House 1.
Elizabeth
was educated in Little Falls at St. Mary's Academy and resided most of her life in Little Falls. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls (Holy Family Parish). She was a member of the East Herkimer senior citizens.
Elizabeth
loved to play bingo and take a family member to play a game of bingo and have some chocolate while doing so. She loved to play bingo at the Decarlo Staffo Post, Turning Stone and the Jewish Home 10 cent bingo games.
Elizabeth
worked at
Melrose
and Allegro Shoe Companies.
Elizabeth
was united in marriage to Americo Harry Polidori in 1948.
Survivors are her beloved children, Linda (James) McElheny and Deborah (Howard) Schwartz, of
Penfield
NY
; grandchildren, David (Nicole) Schwartz, of Wake Forest, NC and Kristin (
Brandon
) Cross, of
Windermere
,
Florida
; great-grandson, Jacob Schwartz; also, nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth
is predeceased by her Husband, Americo Harry Polidori; and her brother, Anthony Godich.
The Family would like to thank her second family in
Rochester
at the Jewish Home Cottage 3 House 1. Giselle and the nurses and aides there took excellent care of her and truly were her second family. Her daughters are very thankful for the love that was shown her by those taking care of her.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family, on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.
