Elizabeth Konik

Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Konik, age 85 of Sabin Road and a lifelong Little Falls resident entered into eternal rest on Monday morning, November 18, 2002 at Little Falls Hospital. Mrs. Konik was born on April 5, 1917 in Little Falls a daughter of the late Steven and Anna (Mizerak) Otrupcak and received her education in the Little Falls City School District. She was last employed by Van Allen?s Nursing Home in Little Falls as a dietary aide, retiring in 1985. She married Joseph Konik on June 26, 1937 in Broadalbin. Mr. Konik preceded his wife in death. She is survived by six beloved children, Joann Higgins and husband Robert of Stratford, Lauraine Schwasnick and husband Charles of Mohawk, Dawn Kaminski and husband Michael of Little Falls, Anne Null and husband Donald of Little Falls, Joseph Konik, Jr. and wife Tammy of Little Falls and John Konik and wife Karen of Little Falls, seven brothers and sisters, Elaine Kroll and husband Edward, Eva DiNardi and husband Michael, Kristine Bucenec and husband Daniel, Steven Otrupcak and wife Helen, Paul Otrupcak and wife Katherine, John Otrupcak and Michael Otrupcak and wife Helen, 17 cherished grandchildren and 22 adored great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters, Anne Anderson, Sue Struble and Katherine Otrupcak, one granddaughter, Laurelynn Kaminski, and four great grandchildren, Aric, Alex and Adam Sherwood and Eliza Schwasnick. The family will gather privately to say good bye and interment will be held privately in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. For those wishing to remember Betty, kindly consider contributions in her name to the American Diabetes Association and envelopes may be obtained from the Enea Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe St., Little Falls, which is handling funeral arrangements.
