Mrs. Elizabeth A. Getman, age 76, currently of Schoharie and formerly of Little Falls, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, October 27, 2021 at the Palatine Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center.
Born on June 24, 1945, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Eugene and Cora (Luther) Peeler. She received her education in Herkimer schools, graduating with the Class of 1963.
On May 8, 1966, Liz was wed to Mr. Arthur J. “Art” Getman at the First United Methodist Church in Herkimer by Rev. Fred Cotnam. Together they shared in thirty-five years of marriage until Art’s passing on June 20, 2001.
Liz’s career was spent as a CNA, lastly with Valley Health Services in Herkimer and prior to that with Herkimer Hospital.
Liz’s funeral service will commence on Friday afternoon, October 29, 2021 at 12NOON at Salisbury Rural Cemetery where a graveside ceremony will be offered.
Her final wishes were pre-arranged and entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY (315) 823-2424, Harry and Kevin Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia, Funeral Directors.
