Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Frye, age 86, of Eatonville Rd., Little Falls, a retired school teacher, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, July 9, 2003 in Little Falls Hospital. She had recently been residing at Valley Health Services, Herkimer for the past two years. Mrs. Frye was born on January 19, 1917 in Little Falls a daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Grecny) Majtan. She received her education in Little Falls schools and furthered her education by attending Potsdam and Albany State Teachers College's. She was united in marriage to Harlan Frye who passed away on July 28, 1991. They enjoyed a blessed union of several years. She was last employed by the Little Falls Central School District as a teacher. She was a member of the New York State United Teachers Association, Herkimer County Teachers Association, the Little Falls Lady Elks and the Herkimer Chapter #130, purple heart. She leaves a sister in law, Bertha Pakan of Schenectady, nieces and nephews, Eva Norton of Nassau, E. Jean DiLoreto of Herkimer, Paul Pakan of Schenectady, John Majtan of Little Falls and Kathy Barone of Little Falls. She is also survived by many dear friends. Betty's funeral will commence at 11 am on Monday morning, July 14, 2003 from the chapel of the Enea Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls with the Rev. Alice Moberg Sarber of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Herkimer officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10-11 am on Monday morning. Procession will follow to Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls where Betty will be laid to rest alongside her husband Harlan.
