Edwin Kardash

Edwin R. Kardash, 74 of 993 River Road, Fort Plain, passed away on Tuesday April 11, 2006 at Albany Medical Center. He was born August 11, 1931 in the town of Minden, the son of the late Michael & Antonina (Doliczna) Kardash and was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School. His marriage to Patricia Callan took place on August 19, 1956. Edwin was last employed as a bartender at the former Snell?s Tavern in St. Johnsville. Prior to that he was a machine operator for various construction companies. Mr. Kardash was of the catholic faith. Edwin was a member of the St. Johnsville American Legion, the Fort Plain VFW. With family as his foremost priority Ed proved himself a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife Patricia of St. Johnsville, 2 sons, Edwin Kardash, Jr., of Fairbanks, Alaska, & Michael Kardash of Fort Plain, 3 daughters, Linda Bauer of St. Johnsville, Peggysue Dillenbeck and husband Barry of Fort Plain, & Francine Baumeister and husband Tim of St. Johnsville, 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Barbara Froehlich and husband Ed of Albany, and several nieces, nephews & cousins. He was pre-deceased by a son, David Kardash in 1981, a brother Stanley Kardash and 2 sisters, Pauline Green & Frances Nash. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 15, 2006 at 11:00 am from the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville, NY with Sister Johanne McCarthy, of St. Patrick?s Church officiating. Burial will follow at St. Johnsville Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday April 14, 2006 from 6-8 pm.
