LITTLE FALLS – Mr. Edward Mlinar, of 20 West Monroe Street, passed away Wednesday morning, December 7, 2022, in Valley Health Services, Herkimer, where he had been a resident for the past several years.

He was born November 27, 1922, in Little Falls, a son of the late Frank and Antonia (Kolar) Mlinar. He had been a lifelong resident of Little Falls and was educated there. He served our country with the United States Navy, during World War II.

His marriage to Josephine A. Slogocki took place, on September 20, 1948. The ceremony was performed in Sacred Heart Church, in Little Falls. This was a blessed union of 32 years until the unexpected passing of Mrs. Mlinar, in 1980.

Ed was self-employed for many years, having owned his own plumbing business, Mlinar Plumbing Company, Little Falls. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and the former Slovenian Home, this city. His hobbies were golf and classic cars.

He is survived by a daughter, Claudette Mlinar, at home; and several nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Frieda Stratemeyer (Bob), Veronica Hobb (Carl) and Rose Woods (Laverne); and a brother, William “Bill” Mlinar (Jeanne). Also predeceased are in-laws; a niece; and a nephew.

The Funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 and will be private and inclusive to immediate family. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. There are no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice and these kind gestures are preferred over floral offerings. Please omit flowers.
