Edward A Johns

LITTLE FALLS-Edward A. Johns, age 51 of Sunset View Dr., Little Falls passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown with his family at his side.







He was born on March 7, 1960 in Queens, son of H.L. Johns of Nevada and Rita (Bright) Johns of Florida and was educated in Dolgeville schools. He was last employed with Enjem's Carpet in Herkimer and was of the Catholic faith.







Ed loved riding his motorcycle and was a proud truck driver. He loved the moments spent in the company of his children and grandchildren.







Survivors include his son: Michael Johns and wife Tricia of Utica; two daughters: Heather Johns of Gloversville and Stephanie Johns of Yorkville, also survived by Jason Filippi and Jessica (Gallt) Filippi whom he considered to be his own children; a brother: Ronald Johns and wife Stephanie of Georgia; two cherished grandchildren: Aliyah and Lacey; an aunt: Agnes Flatley of New Jersey; a niece, Kristen and a nephew, Keith. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn.







There are no public calling hours. The family will gather privately to say goodbye. Services will take place from Jacksonville Florida Memorial Gardens. Local arrangements are entrusted into the care of Funeral Director Daniel J. Enea-Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. The family would also like to acknowledge the love and support given by Edward's dearest friends.
