Mohawk: Edna D. Mundorff, 67, of Mohawk, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare.



Edna was born January 30, 1943 in Ilion, NY, the daughter of the late Walter and Marion (Clancey) Wood. She was a graduate of Mohawk High School and was a resident of the village of Mohawk for over 40 years. Her marriage to Bruce C. Mundorff took place on September 1, 1966 in Altoona, PA.



Edna was last employed for Burns Pharmacy in Mohawk and also at one time, had worked for General Electric in Utica. Some of Edna?s enjoyments included cooking for her family, as well as outdoor gardening. She was a very loving and dedicated grandmother and will be missed dearly.



Surviving relatives include: her beloved husband Bruce; two sons: Michael Mundorff and wife Bernie of Mohawk, James Mundorff and special friend Jackie Barone of Herkimer; four loving grandchildren: Dylan, Alexis, Melinda and Scott; three brothers: Jess and his wife Vera Wood of Dolgeville, Mike and wife Shelva Wood of Ilion, Harley Wood of Schuyler; a sister: Margaret Shaffer and husband Joseph of Florida; and many special nieces and nephews; as well as in-laws: including a special sister-in-law Amelia Wood. She also leaves a special canine friend Lacy. Edna was predeceased by two sisters, Marjorie and Shirley and two brothers, Pete and Walter Jr.



Friends and relatives are invited to attend Memorial Calling Hours on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 4-6 PM at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion-Frankfort. Burial will be private at the Mohawk cemetery. The family is being served by Harry J. Enea, of the Enea Family Funeral Home.
