Dylan Steffan

ILION - Dylan P. Steffan, 20, of Ilion, formerly of California, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. He was born on July 25, 1988 in Oceanside, Calif., the son of Judy Suggs and Michael Steffan. Dylan was employed as a construction worker at Steffan Construction Co., San Diego, Calif., working with his father and brothers. He loved film making and was planning to become a student at HCCC in January 2009. Survivors include his mother Judy Suggs, with whom he lived with in Ilion, his father Michael of California, his brothers and sister-in-law Ryan and Michele Steffan of Arizona, Jared Steffan of California, his adopted grandmother, JoAnn Lewis of Ilion; two nieces, Jena and Jade, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to attend Dylan?s memorial service at 9:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102, West St., Ilion, with Father Anthony Barratt, Pastor of the Church of the Annunciation, officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to The Great American Irish Festival Inc., P.O. Box 584, Marcy, N.Y. 13407 in Dylan?s name for the benefit of the new Irish Cultural Center of the Mohawk Valley. Special envelopes will also be available at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home of Ilion.
