LITTLE FALLS - Dorothy L. (Youker) Stanley, the youngest and last surviving child of Clarence and Mable (Durrin) Youker passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at age 98, at the Foltsbrook Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, after a 4 month stay.

Dorothy was born on January 15, 1924, in Stratford, New York. After marriage to Herman Stanley on July 10, 1943, she lived for a short time in Norway, NY, until Herman’s passing. The majority of her life Dorothy lived in the Stratford, Middleville, Salisbury Center, Dolgeville and Little Falls areas and was a member of the United Lutheran Presbyterian Church of Dolgeville, NY.

Dorothy was predeceased by her spouse, Herman Stanley and they left a surviving son, Earl J. Stanley and his wife, Beverly, of Herkimer, NY.

Dorothy was also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Earl’s children: Jennifer (Stanley) McDonnell, her husband John and their children, Molly McDonnell and Audrey McDonnell, Heather (Stanley) Manchester, her husband Michael and their children, Gregory Manchester, Kiersten (Manchester) Gee, Alyson Manchester and Cameron Manchester. Beverly’s children: Peter Moschetto and his son, Nathan Moschetto, Cindy (Moschetto) Cirillo, her husband Peter and their children, Nicole (Sowich) Oyer and Brittney (Cirillo) Hasner.

Although Dorothy was also predeceased by her siblings: Carl Youker, Bertha Cool, Pearl Voorhees, Edna Adamko, William Youker, Margaret Weddle, Iva Mae Youker, Leonard Youker and Evelyn Rutowski); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and in-laws; she was survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and in-laws, with special closeness to niece, Karen Karp, of Michigan and great-niece, Russene Young, of Ilion, New York.

Dorothy was an honest, kind and caring person. She was a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother and will be missed and remembered with great love and fondness. May she rest eternally in the palm of God’s hand.

Dorothy’s ashes will be laid to rest at a Graveside Service, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11:30 a.m., at the Salisbury Rural Cemetery, next to her husband, with Rev. David Johnson, officiating.

Dorothy’s arrangements have been entrusted to Enea, Ciaccia & Applegate Funeral Directors.
