Dorothy Klotz

Dorothy "Dee" Klotz, 58, a resident of Herkimer, passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 14, 2004 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica. She was born on May 19, 1945 in Herkimer, a daughter of the late Wesley Looman and Ellen (Saterlee) Looman who resides in Newport. Dee was educated in Herkimer schools and was a graduate of SUNY Potsdam. She was last employed by the Department of Social Services, Herkimer. She was a very active and dedicated member of the Beit Shalom Messianic Synagogue, Utica. She leaves her mother Ellen who resides in Newport, her beloved sisters, Shirley Coe and husband Harold of Clinton, Beverly Helmer and husband Bradford of Sapula, OK, Ralph Mueller and wife Kathy of Herkimer, many nieces and nephews including Karen Helmer and Heather Mueller who were very special to Dee. She also leaves behind her faithful companion, Chloe. The family will be present to receive relatives and friends in the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 from 4-7p.m. The funeral service will commence at the end of visitation hours (7 p.m.) in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will take place this spring at the family's convenience. Memorial contributions in Dee's honor may be made to the Herkimer County Department of Social Services.
