Doris M. Butler, 91, of Herkimer, passed away peacefully, March 6, 2013 at her home with her loving family at her side following a long illness.
She was born on July 3, 1921, in Oneida Castle, the daughter of the late Louis A. and Vivian J. Green Morgan. Doris was a graduate of Oneida High School and Syracuse University School of Nursing.
For many years she worked at Interstate Window Cleaning as an executive secretary.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Edgecomb of Taft, CA, L.B. Day of Seattle, WA, Laurie Butler and Beth Butler, both of Herkimer and James "Jim" Butler of Mohawk; her sister, Evelyn Sullivan of Saratoga Springs; her grandchildren, Joshua Butler, Kevin Edgecomb, Nicholas Edgecomb, Morgan Day and Robert Selva; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Doris was predeceased by her brother, Brad Morgan.
In keeping Doris's and the family's wishes, there are no visitation or funeral. The family is being served by Discount Direct Cremation Burial Service, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion.
