Donna M. Bruce

Donna M. Bruce, age 73, a lifelong Mohawk Valley resident, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023 at the MVHS Wynn Hospital.

On May 27, 1950 Donna was born in Herkimer. She attended local schools and was wed to Harold Bruce, Sr. who passed away in 1997.

Donna will be deeply missed. She was a loving and caring person. She loved playing cards, doing sticker books and coloring by number books. She loved blowing bubbles with her bubble gun. She loved sitting in the sun, watching butterflies and was fond of unicorns and rainbow-colored things.

Her family will miss her feistiness, her sense of humor and her joking around with them. She loved to pick on them in a fun way! She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she was loved very much. She will hold a special place in the hearts of those she loved, forever.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Bruce of Ilion and Flora Bruce of Herkimer; her granddaughters, Sarah, Destiny and Rachael; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, her daughter, Tammy Bruce, and her son, Harold Bruce, Jr.

A special thank you is extended to the Ilion Fire Department Ambulance for all of the care and assistance given to Donna. The family would also like to thank the Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists at The Grand in Ilion for all they did for Donna.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 10:00AM – 12:00 NOON at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home’s larger facility, located at 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000. Donna’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence at the funeral home at 12:00 NOON immediately upon the conclusion of visitation. Procession will follow to Armory Hill Cemetery.
