Donna L. Beatty

Ms. Donna L. Beatty, age 82, of Sherrell, NY passed away on June 4, 2026, at the Loretto Nursing Home in Syracuse, NY, reuniting with her beloved son.

Donna was born on June 1, 1944, in Canastota, New York to the late Frank and Lillian Chappell (Cunningham). In her youth, she attended Onieda schools. She was married to the late Richard Beatty in the 80s and worked for many years at the Daniel Green Company in Dolgeville, NY. Donna cared deeply for her family; she worked very hard to raise her two sons on her own, her dedication and love is something that will never be forgotten.

Donna is survived by her son, Thomas J. Sherman Jr. and wife Shelley (Francis) of Laguna Niguel, California, her granddaughter Samantha Sherman, and grandson Jacen Cutenese and wife Maria of Rancho Santa Margarita California. She leaves two great grandchildren James, and Ethan Cutenese, as well as many nieces, nephews, and a caring niece Cheryl Raineri who was very helpful and loving to Donna.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, all eight of her siblings, her cherished son Allen E. Sherman and her close personal friend Judy Carmen (Carm) of Dolgeville, NY.

Her family would like to thank the rehabilitation staff at Loretto Nursing Home for the care and compassion they showed Donna during her stay there.

In honoring Donna’s wishes, there will be no funeral home services. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:30am at the Inghams Mills Rural Park Cemetery in Manheim NY, where she will be laid to rest with her son.
