GLOVERSVILLE – Mrs. Donna L. Bargy, age 66, of Kingsboro Avenue, Gloversville, New York, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Born in Bay Shore, New York, on June 4, 1956, she was a young girl when her family moved to our area. She was a graduate of Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School, Class of 1974 and went on to obtain her bachelor degree at Fulton Montgomery Community College. For many years, Donna was a registered nurse with Nathan Littauer Hospital and most recently with River Ridge Living Center, Amsterdam, New York. Mom was a lover of the Wizard of Oz and frogs!
Donna married James Bargy, Sr. and he passed away in 1990. Their son, James, Jr., passed away in 2008 and her mom, Joyce (Norton) Bernhardt, died that same year. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Denise, Donald and Richard.
She is survived by her beloved family: Lisa Foster and her husband, Alfred, of Gloversville and their children, Katlin (Eddie) Harlan Keys, of Johnstown, Tyler (Miranda) Brady, of Kentucky and Charlene and her husband, Cody Van Nostrand and their children, all of Gloversville, Austin (Myranda) Bargy and Bryant Bargy, Boyd (Alexia) Wells, Ellie Wells and Carly and Chelles.
Calling hours will be held 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on Monday, November 7, 2022, at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, St. Johnsville, NY. A Prayer Offering will be held at 12 Noon, at the funeral home, followed immediately by a Graveside Service, at West St. Johnsville Cemetery, all officiated by Larry Alkinburg, Pastor of the New Beginnings Bible Church, of Canajoharie. All are invited to the calling hours and Funeral Services to follow.
