LITTLE FALLS - Donald Charles O’Connor passed away on the morning of December 18, 2020. He was 86. Donald was born and raised in Astoria, Queens, New York and attended St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church.
After graduating Bryant High School, Donald served in the US Army as an infantryman and later as a military policeman in the 82nd Airborne Division.
Donald married Lorraine Sand of Oceanside NY, in 1957 and worked briefly in sales for the Beechnut Company.
He was a member of Hose Co. 1, of the Oceanside Volunteer Fire Department for several years. After retiring from the Metropolitan Transit Authority, Donald and Lorraine moved to Little Falls NY where they enjoyed the beauty of the Mohawk Valley.
Surviving Donald is his wife, Lorraine; sons, Brian and Kenneth; son-in-law, Bill Grady; and grandsons, Conor and Liam. His daughter Christine preceded him in passing, in 2005.
All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe St., Little Falls, NY, Funeral Directors Harry J. Enea, Jr., Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia.
