FRANKFORT- Mr. Donald M. Miles, age 74 of Frankfort was called home to the lord on March 19, 2025.
Don was born on October 17, 1950, to the late Dale and Shirley (Barcus) Miles in Ilion, New York.
He was raised and educated in Frankfort, a graduate of Frankfort-Schuyler High School. After graduating he worked at the Union Fork and Hoe, and built the sporting goods department at Fay’s, lastly working at Birnie Bus.
He is survived by his partner in life, Deborah Yeagle. His daughters, Melissa and her husband James Dow, their daughter Samantha and her children Holden and Wyatt. Daughter Jennifer Miles and her children Richard and Louis with Richard’s children Greyson, Elena, and Destry. Daughter Alanna and her husband Mark Bedworth and their children Ryan, Isabella and Anthony. His daughter Sabrina and Steven Miles, and their children Aiden, Maria, Shayla, Sierra, and Skyler. His sister Sally Zahniser, and by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Dale and Shirley Miles along with his sister Joyce and brother Gary.
Don loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing. He loved spending time with family and was always the center of any gathering and so full of life. He has taught many the craft of hunting and spent 29 years as a NYS Hunter and Bowhunter Education instructor. He took many friends and family under his wing to teach them the sport he loved the most.
Don was an amazing man with a huge heart. He fought hard through all the unfortunate happenings thrown at him. He will truly be missed by all who loved and cared for him, especially his daughters who he was their rock, his partner, and his grandchildren. He will be missed by all his friends he made everywhere he went, he never met a stranger.

There will be a Memorial & Celebration of Life on April 6, 2025, from 1-4pm at the Ilion-Frankfort VFW Post 502, 4274 Acme Road, Frankfort. Please feel free to bring your memories and a dish to pass to celebrate his life.
