Donald Judson

FRANKFORT-ILION - Donald ?Don? M. Judson, age 76, of 205 First Ave., Frankfort, formerly of Ilion, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare, New Hartford, N.Y. He was born on Oct. 19, 1932, in Ilion, the son of Everett and Esther (Miller) Judson, and graduated from Ilion High School. Don was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy. In February of 1955, he was married to Theresa Collette in Ilion. She died in 1995. Don was employed as a roofer with Norman?s Roofing and Siding for over 20 years, retiring in 1987. Survivors include his children, Debra Burdick and her husband Charles of West Winfield, Daureen Hunt of Richfield Springs, Donna Judson of Frankfort, Sherry Lawlor of Clinton, Theresa Reesh and her fiancee Ken Edick, Michelle Penree and her husband Peter, and Sonya Pavia and her husband Charles, all of Frankfort, Rebecca Hatmaker and husband Donald of West Winfield, Barbara Covey and her husband Chuck of Barneveld, N.Y., Michael Judson of North Carolina, and Kim Matthew and her husband Brian of Liverpool, N.Y.; 53 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was predeceased by his daughter, Darlene Judson in 1995; and his son-in-law, Ed Hunt in 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion. Interment will be in Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. Calling hours are Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, from 12:30-2:30 p.m., prior to the funeral services.
