Mr. Donald “Don” Hoskey, age 75, a longtime Ilion resident, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the MVHS St. Elizabeth Campus.
Born on October 22, 1946, Donald was the son of the late Fred and Eleanor (Manore) Hoskey. He was raised and educated in Utica and attended local schools.
In 1967, Donald was blessed to join in marriage with the former Joanne Cioch, and together they were blessed with over fifty-five years of a loving and devoted union.
For many years, Donald was employed with the Burrows Paper Mill in Little Falls. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind, but his memory will always remain in their hearts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; his sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Jr.(Lisa)Hoskey, Mitch (Anne)Hoskey, Fred (Melissa)Hoskey; his grandchildren, Garret, Amanda, Ryan, Nicholas, Alexandra; and a great-granddaughter, Arbella.
In keeping with Don’s wishes, there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to either the Herkimer County Humane Society OR to the Anita’s Stevens Swan Humane Society.
