Donald Doxtader

ILION-FRANKFORT - Donald E. Doxtader, age 71, of Sheldon Avenue, Frankfort, formerly of 11 W. River St., Ilion, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, at Faxton-St. Luke?s Healthcare, town of New Hartford. He was born on June 29, 1937, in Salisbury, the son of Carl H. and Mayme (Weber) Doxtader, and attended Ilion schools. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving in the U.S. Army. Don was employed at Sperry Rand Univac for 16 years and later for Palermo Metal Products, Ilion, for eight years. Survivors include his sister, Arlene Williams of Ilion and several nieces and nephews including Jerry Doxtader of Dexter, Maine. He was predeceased by his sister, Shirley Dove and his brother, Carl Doxtader. Spring burial will be held on his parents? lot at Armory Hill Cemetery, Ilion. There are no calling hours or services scheduled. All arrangements were entrusted to Funeral Director Don Applegate at Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion.
