DOLGEVILLE- Mr. Donald Augar, 74, entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2010 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown after a brief illness.
He was born on March 21, 1936, in Waterville, NY, son of the late Thomas and LeElla (Budlong) Augar.
He worked at Rawlings (Adirondack) Bat Factory for 30 years and more recently he covered graves at Salisbury Rural Cemetery. He loved to walk all around Dolgeville
Survivors include his wife Elaine; his son Justin Smith and his wife Kelly of Dolgeville; his grandson Brendan Stuttard; his brother Glen and his wife Joanie of Dolgeville; his sisters Virginia Gardner and her husband Don of Florida and Helen Metz of Florida; his nephew David Cool and companion Dora. He also leaves behind his best friends Duane and Peg Congdon, John Winkler and his wife Tina, George and Betty Nelson; Bob Morse and wife June, Richard Gross and wife Sandy , Gary Giachetti and his wife Phyllis and too many more to acknowledge and many more friends, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Tom Jr., Harry, Willis and Russell and his sisters Grace Leavitt and Rose Treen.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8pm on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 Faville Ave., Dolgeville.
