Mrs. Dolores Zaffarano, age 72, of Skiff Avenue in Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 22, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
Born on May 27, 1950, Dolores was a daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn (Blanchard) Davis. She was raised locally and attended Herkimer schools.
On June 4, 1977, Dolores was married to Mr. Rocky Zaffarano and together they’ve shared in a blessed union spanning over forty-five years. As a couple, Rocky and Dolores were committed to one another and to their family.
Dolores was a kind and humble woman whose priority was always the well-being of her husband and her beloved son, Paul. She was devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her faith sustained her through the trying times. She also had a love for animals and especially loved her kitty cats!
She is survived by her husband, Rocky; her son, Paul Davis, of Frankfort; her stepsons, Chris Zaffarano and Scott Zaffarano; her siblings, Ernie (Dorothy) Bastin of Albany, Ohio, Richard Davis of Manlius, Roy (Wendy) Davis of Lexington, Kentucky, James Davis of Syracuse, Janine (Charles) Ritton of Richfield Spa, and Kathy (Ron) Prevost of South Glens Falls; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Dolores was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Evelyn Davis; her sister, Dawn Mower; and her sister-in-law, Elaine Davis.
Dolores’ family will bid their farewells in a private ceremony. She will be laid to rest in the spring in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the 4petsake Food Pantry, PO Box 216, 100 E. Main Street, Mohawk, NY 13407.
