Frankfort

Dennis W. Scott, 73, passed away on April 3, 2026.

Born on May 9, 1952, Dennis was raised in Copenhagen, New York, where he grew up on a farm alongside his three brothers. He carried that hands-on, hardworking spirit with him throughout his life. He served as a New York State Trooper for a period of time, an important chapter in his life. He was also a skilled and dedicated carpenter, with a natural talent for building and improving homes and a keen eye for detail that defined much of his work.

Dennis lived life on his own terms, what he called the “Book of Dennis.” He was always working on something, finding ways to build, fix, or improve the spaces around him, and took pride in doing things his own way. He also brought a sense of joy and personality into what he created, often using his work as a way to make others smile.

He was known for his kindness and the way he cared for others. He was always thinking about how he could help, often lending a hand to neighbors or anyone who needed it. He had a saying, “always love, never judge.” He was grateful for the time he was able to spend with the next generation of his family.

He is survived by his children and grandchildren, along with extended family and friends.

Dennis will be remembered for his generosity, his independence, and the lasting impression he left on those who knew him.

There will be no public funeral services for Dennis. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Enea Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, NY 13357
