Dennis J. Laraway

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Dennis J. Laraway, age 73, of St. Johnsville, NY, passed away from sudden heart complications, on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the Wynn Hospital.

Dennis was born on August 24, 1950, in Little Falls, NY. He was the son of John “Jack” and Gloria “Georgie” (Corso) Laraway. He attended St. Johnsville High School and graduated with the class of 1969. He later attended Schenectady Community College and Fulton Montgomery Community College.

Dennis worked for the UPS for many years. He was also very handy with odd jobs inside and outside the home and was always there to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors.

Dennis was a lover of the great outdoors and enjoyed camping, kayaking, fishing and snowshoeing.

He is survived by his sister, Dawn Kane, of St. Johnsville, NY; his daughters, Jamie Lyn Laraway and Jenni Rose Rachon; and his grandchildren, Joseph and Aryana Bumblo, Kinsley and Kolson Vedder, Austin Capece and Aaliyah, Adam and Erik Rachon.

The family would like to thank Dr. Singh and his cardiovascular team for their care and compassion over these past few weeks.

All family and friends who have had the privilege of knowing Dennis are welcome to attend his Funeral Service, on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Johnsville Polish Catholic Church, held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 32 West Main Street, in St. Johnsville, NY, officiated by Father Rafal Dadello. Private interment will take place in St. Johnsville Cemetery.
