Dennis Michael Grant

EAST HERKIMER - With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Dennis Michael Grant, 56, formerly from Salisbury Center, NY. Dennis passed away on September 20, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.


Born on February 4, 1968, Dennis was the life of the party and a master jokester. He had a remarkable gift for making everyone around him laugh! His humor and quick wit were his trademarks and he was always ready with a good-natured joke or a funny story.


Dennis spent his career as a hardworking construction worker, a job that he took great pride in. But when he wasn't working, his heart belonged to the outdoors. An avid hunter and fisherman, Dennis found peace and joy in nature, sharing many memorable moments with family and friends while enjoying these hobbies.


Dennis is survived by his Daughter, Amber Grant; his grandchildren, Amelia Farrell, Sophia Farrell and Jameson Farrell, of Clarksville, Tennessee; his sister, Laura Grant, of Richmond, Virginia; his brothers, Charles Grant, of Frankfort, NY and Thomas Grant, of Rome, NY. He is also survived by Carolyna Grant, of Richmond, Virginia; Claude Bruce, of Fort Plain NY and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


Dennis was the son of the late Dennis R. Grant and Gail E. Grant, of Salisbury Center, NY.


He will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.


There will be no formal services at this time.
