DOLGEVILLE- Mrs. Deborah Christine (Darling) Youker, 83, of Hopson Rd., entered into eternal rest on February 24, 2011 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital.







She was born on January 18, 1928, in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Rev. Marshall and Gertrude (Hoxsie) Darling. She was educated in the Dolgeville Central Schools. On March 29, 1946 she was united in marriage with J. Zane Youker in Dolgeville. They enjoyed a union of 59 years until his passing in 2005.







Deborah enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved gardening and watching her bluebirds.







Survivors include her four children: Delia (Dee Dee) Howard and her husband Richard of Mechanicville, NY, Sherrill Buck and her husband Mark of Gales Ferry, CT, Marshall Youker and his wife Lamoine of Hopewell,VA and Harold Youker and his wife Cynthia of Stewarts Landing, NY; her seven grandchildren: Christopher Howard, Jennifer Reidy and her husband Bill, James Youker, Megan Youker, Ellen Coghill and her husband Andrew, Stefanie Wilkinson and her husband James and Eric Buck; two great grandchildren: Jonathan James Wilkinson and Haleigh Elizabeth Coghill. She is survived by three sisters, Ella Delaney, Helen DeRidder and Rebekah Luther. She was pre-deceased by her brother Birge Darling and her sisters, Hope, Mary, Jean and Joan.







In keeping with Deborah's wishes there will be no calling hours. She will be buried alongside her husband at Salisbury Rural Cemetery in the spring of 2011. There will be a religious service at that time with the Rev.Gertrude Ortlieb officiating.







The family requests donations in Deborah's name be made to Boy Scout Troop #18, Dolgeville or to the S&S Ambulance Corps.
