MOHAWK - Deborah Ann (Schuyler) Briggs passed away on June 4, 2023, after enduring long-term health problems with the courage and tenacity of nature itself.
She now rests peacefully and is survived by her devoted husband, Steven Briggs; three children: Courtney Briggs, Erica Briggs and Alexandra (Briggs) Ulinski; her sister, Donna Schuyler; and brother, Danny Schuyler. She is also grandmother to two grandchildren: Donovan and Raelynn.
The family deeply appreciates the staff at Hospice and the Abraham House who helped care for her in her final days.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services, but a memorial grove of trees will be planted to honor her lifelong love of Mother Nature. The trees will be planted in a National Forest that was destroyed by wildfire. Deborah's trees will help restore the beauty of the forest and will be a living tribute to her for years to come.
The grove has been set up through an organization called Trees for a Change. To contribute, please find Deborah’s name on the website below, in the drop-down menu on the right-hand side that says “Contribute to the grove for”
