Dean Doxtader

Mr. Dean Arthur Doxtader 73 of 268 Covered Bridge Road RD Little Falls, Town of Salisbury, died Monday October 19, 2009 in Faxton ? St. Luke?s Healthcare , New Hartford after a brief illness. He was born in Dolgeville on November 11, 1935 the son of the late William O. and Anna (Krawec) Doxtader. His education began in the one room school house in Salisbury and then he attended Dolgeville schools. Dean was employed by area companies including the Dolgeville Co-op Milk Station and by Bob Smith?s Fuel Company of Little Falls. He retired from the North Hudson Woodcraft Company in 1998. He was a former member of the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department, the Salisbury Ridge Runners, and he was a 40 year member of the Dolgeville Masonic Lodge #796 F&AM. Dean is survived by his brothers William A. Doxtader with whom he lived, Richard A. Doxtader of Johnstown and Michael W. Doxtader of PA., a Niece Anne McNeal and a Nephew Adam Doxtader also 5 Great Nieces and 2 Great Nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday October 23, 2009 at 11 AM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville. Rev. John Reams, Pastor of the Salisbury Center United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Salisbury Rural Cemetery. Calling Hours are on THURSDAY from 4-7 PM.
