David Moody

ILION-REMSEN - David C. Moody, 84, formerly of London Towers, Ilion, Remsen, N.Y., and Boston, Mass., died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion, where he had been a recent resident. He was born on Sept. 22, 1922, in Cambridge, Mass., the son of Chester A. and Ina Mabel (Cartland) Moody. David was married to Patricia Benvie, who died in October 1997. For many years he was employed as a truck driver for Cosgrove Trucking in Massachusetts. Most recently he was employed at Prestige Services in New York Mills. David was a resident of Ilion for the past three years coming from Remsen where he lived for about 22 years coming from the Boston, Mass., area. Survivors include his two daughters and one son-in-law, Tanis and Paul Thomas of Mohawk, Sharon Moody and Paul Tothill of Orlando, Fla.; his grandson, John K. Mondrick of Mohawk; his sister, Ethel Haller of Washington; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with David's wishes, there are no scheduled calling hours or funeral services. All arrangements are entrusted to Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home, 102 West St., Ilion.
