FORT PLAIN - Mr. David R. Brown, III, age 73, of Fort Plain, NY (Town of Minden), passed away on Sunday October 12, 2014 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse, NY with his family at his side. He was a former resident of Camden, NY.



He was born on December 27, 1940 in Rome, NY a son of the late David R. Brown, Jr. and Adeline (Brewster) Brown. He graduated from Camden Central High School, Class of 1958. He began his working career with Mohawk Airlines then later USAir. He was last employed as a truck driver with Harden Furniture, Inc. in McConnellsville. David was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. David had an exuberant personality and every stranger became a friend.



He is survived by his wife of 53 years Beverly E. (Kondra); his children: David Brown; IV (Lisa), Debra Brown, Linda Mang (Fred), Judi Ingram (Randy), and five grandchildren: David Brown; V, Kasey and Spencer Mang, Kyle and Lauren Ingram, and his brother Jim Brown (Elaine) and aunt, Doris Allen. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Tom Brown.



A memorial mass will be held on Saturday October 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Hope Church at 115 Reid Street, Fort Plain, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the HC Smith Benefit Club P.O. Box 5, St. Johnsville, NY 13452.
