LITTLE FALLS - Daniel M. Hickey, age 90, died July 28, 2024, in Utica, NY, due to complications from a stroke.

Dan was born on October 8, 1933, to Daniel and Rosalie Hickey and grew up in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, MA before graduating from Tech HS class of 1952. After serving in the Army Signal Corps, he graduated from UMass Amherst class of 1962. He worked in Springfield as a city planner/urban developer before moving to Albany, NY to be executive vice president of the Chamber of Commerce. He lived in several states before settling in Little Falls, NY.

Dan is survived by three children: Jean, Lynn and Matthew; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, David; and two wives, Joan Hickey and Joan Windsor. He also leaves behind longtime friends, Jim Malone and Jim Madden; as well as the members of the breakfast club and the Alpine Hiking club in Little Falls.

Burial will be private at the convenience of Dan’s family.
