Daniel L. Davis, Sr.

ILION – Mr. Daniel L. Davis, Sr., also well known as “Boomer,” age 63, of the Village of Ilion, New York, passed away peacefully on August 6th, 2025. He was always surrounded by family love and was a beloved father and grandfather.

He was born on October 21st, 1961, in Ilion, New York, the son of the late Leslie C. Davis and Doris (Lane) Davis. He attended Mohawk Schools and Herkimer BOCES Masonry Program. He dedicated his career to Masonry Work, and was an active member of the Bricklayer and Allied Craftworks Local #2 NY/VT.

While Boomers presence will be deeply missed his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. He would spend his times enjoying the outdoors, target shooting, and hunting. He cherished deer hunting every fall with his friends and family.

He is survived by his three sons, Daniel l. Davis, Jr., and his partner, Michayla, and their children (his grandchildren), Daniel, Wyatt, Levi, and Millie, Stephen D. Davis and his wife Julia Hudyncia – Davis, and Thomas J. Davis and his significant other, Elizabeth Morgan.

Also, his siblings, Milton and Barb Davis, and Lorie and Jim Rando, a great – uncle and aunt, John and Barbara Kadaraitis, and his dear friend, Gary Kennedy.

He was predeceased by his brother, Scott Davis.

We will be having a Celebration of Life to honor him at the Town Hall of Columbia on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM for all to come and honor him. The address is 147 Columbia Center Road, Ilion, NY 13357.
