Daniel E. Bailey 48 of 114 Oak Mt. Drive, Town of Salisbury, died unexpectedly Saturday November 8, 2014 at Little Falls hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.
Dan was born in Gloversville, on November 23, 1965 the son of Orville D. and Beverly (Green) Bailey and attended school in Stratford.
He was united in marriage to Vickie Youker on June 22, 1991 in the town of Oppenheim.
Dan was employed as a tower rigger for the Tower Network Technology Company, a cellular ccompany, leaving work in 2009 due to health.
His personal interests were in outdoor activities, including hunting, 4-wheeling, motorcycles, truck pulling contests, and logging. He was an ace mechanic and could fix almost anything. He was also proud to have served in the Army National Guard, being honorably discharged in 1985.
He is survived by his wife Vickie, his sons Daniel E. Bailey II and his wife and their son Sarah and Daniel E. III, Eric Barton of Dade city, Fl., Joshua Cool of Tennessee, a daughter Dana Bailey and Justin LaVeck and their children Oktober, Kylee, & Alek his brothers, Mark Bailey of Rockwood, Shane Bailey of Salisbury Center, Heath Bailey of Little Falls, Jason Bailey of Syracuse, Jeff Bailey of Gloversville, his sisters Jennifer Bailey of Gloversville, Raina Bailey of Gloversville, several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no formal funeral services, but friends may call on Friday November 14th, 2014 between 1-3PM at the Roberts & Enea Funeral Home 3 Faville Avenue Dolgeville, to celebrate his life.
