Obituary
ST JOHNSVILLE- Cynthia Anne Egga, 81, formerly of St. Johnsville entered into eternal rest on February 23, 2009 at her home in Oakland, CA. She was born February 8,1928 in Little Falls, NY, the daughter of Robert and Hilda (Lewis) Williams.

A 1945 graduate of St. Johnsville High School, she obtained a B.A. in English and a Masters Degree in Education from Utica College. She taught at both St. Johnsville and Little Falls Central Schools.

Mrs. Egga was married to David Keba of St. Johnsville from 1948 to 1968 during which they had a son; David Lewis Keba of San Francisco, CA. Cynthia was a lifelong member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Fort Plain and St. Johnsville Chapters. Mrs. Egga married John P. Egga of Alameda, CA in 1968. Mr. Egga was a captain with the American President Lines and a San Francisco Bar Pilot for 25 years. Mr. Egga preceded Cynthia in death in 2004. Cynthia Egga was a member of the Grace Christian Church of St. Johnsville and continued to participate until her yearly visits to St. Johnsville were cut short due to health reasons.

Immediate survivors include her son David L. Keba and Mary (Burns) Keba of San Francisco, CA.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday May 21, 2009 at 11am at the Grace Christian Church, St. Johnsville. Interment will follow at St. Johnsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes any memorial contributions be made to The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. (ASPCA)
