ILION: Cortney Marie Sellers, 31, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.
At the time of her passing, she had found peace and happiness.
Born in Ilion, NY on July 10, 1982, Cortney is the daughter of David and Lynn (Rathbun) Sellers. She was educated in Ilion Schools and in her spare time she enjoyed journaling and reading. The greatest joy in her life was the birth of her son Aidyn, and spending time with her precious son was most important to her. Cortney will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her parents, David and Lynn Sellers of Ilion; her beloved son, Aidyn Sellers of Ilion; her sister, Erica Sellers of Herkimer, her grandmother, Jeanne Sellers of California; a niece, Ava Lanaux; a nephew, Jordyn Lanaux; aunts and uncles, Allan and Diane Rathbun, William Rathbun, Betsy Tanner, Dean and Lorel Rathbun, Art Rathbun, Stephen Sellers, Dennis and Norma Sellers, and Chris Lindeman. She is also survived by many cousins.
She is predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Rathbun Snow and her uncle, Greg Tanner.
A Memorial Mass will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Annunciation, West Street, Ilion and will be offered by the Rev. Paul Catena, Pastor. Burial will take place privately at the Springfield Center Cemetery later in the spring.
