Colleen Renee Welch

FRANKFORT - Mrs. Colleen Renee (Wildey) Welch, 52, of Country Meadows Drive, Town of Schuyler , passed away surrounded by cherished loved ones after a courageous battle on Saturday evening, July 27, 2019, in her home.

She was born in Utica , New York on January 4, 1967, the daughter of the late Gerald Edward and Jean Carol (Armstrong) Wildey and educated in Ilion schools. On May 14, 2014, she was united in marriage with Randy L. Welch, in Frankfort , New York , a union of love and companionship. Colleen was last employed with the DDSO in Dolgeville , New York , Van Buren Street house, offering support as a Developmental Aide. She also served at one time as a human service practitioner assistant at United Cerebral Palsy of Utica, New York. Colleen’s family fondly looks back upon her wonderful friends from work, how really, super - nice they were and all the many friendships that she held so dear to her heart. She was of the Methodist Faith. Colleen considered as the foremost priority in her life her combined roles of a giving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. A woman of strong will and character, she was a constant support for her family, always there for them when they needed her. In her leisure time she enjoyed trips to the Turning Stone Casino, going on car rides and appreciating the beauty of the outdoors. Colleen had two dogs Rocky and Rambo who she loved like her kids (sometimes maybe more!!). She loved spending time with her grandkids and cooking them their favorite meals.

She leaves her loving family, her husband with whom she resided with in Frankfort, Randy Welch; two daughters, Trista Evans and her fiancée Thomas Mitchell of Ilion and Ryleigh Welch of Frankfort, her son Kyle Evans and his fiancé, Erin Callahan, of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Joshua Gantz, Jr., Aaron Crim, Brayden Crim, Aliyah Evans, and soon to be born Jaxson Evans; and her sister, Christy Grescheck; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Steven Wildey and Fredrick Wildey; aunts; uncles; a niece and nephews.

Colleen’s funeral service will commence on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at 7:00 PM from the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 ACME ROAD , BETWEEN ILION & FRANKFORT, with the Rev. Robert Wollaber, officiating. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM prior to the funeral service on Thursday.
