MOHAWK - Claudette "Terry" C. March, age 77, State Rt. 168, Creek Rd., Mohawk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the Mohawk Valley Health Care Center, Ilion.



She was born on June 2, 1937, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Bill and Millie (Gauthier) Cantwell. On May 13, 1961, Terry married Ellis L. March. He died on June 7, 1995. She was employed at the Masonic Home in Utica for many years. Terry was an avid Miami Dolphins football fan. She enjoyed reading, all forms of puzzles and bird watching.



Surviving family members include her step-daughter, Linda Duckworth; her granddaughters, Donna Batten and Jeannette Durrett; her great-grandsons, Brandon, Kevin Ellis and George, of Raleigh, NC; her sister, Denny Whitmore, of Squamish, B.C.; her niece, Lynn Stoness and her nephew, Dean Cantwell and their families, of Ontario, Canada; also special nieces and nephews who looked after Terry over the years with lots of love, including Carol Bechard, Owen March, Tom March, Jesse March, Debra Gookins, Susan March and Joanne Rankins.



She was predeceased by her brother, Moe Cantwell.



In accordance with Terry's wishes, there are no scheduled calling hours or funeral services. Spring interment will take place at Mohawk Cemetery next to her husband Ellis.
