LITTLE FALLS – Ms. Claudette Mlinar, age 71, a lifelong Little Falls resident, passed away Friday morning, September 20, 2024, in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, where she had been being treated following a brief illness.
She was born August 30, 1953, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Slogocki) Mlinar. She graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1971 and went on to attend school in Johnstown, namely Fulton Montgomery Community College, obtaining an associate’s degree. For many years, she was secretary – clerk at Steet Ponte, in Herkimer. Her hobbies were golf, traveling, making jewelry and downhill skiing.
Her passions included the Little Falls Public Library, 10 Waverly Pl, Little Falls, NY 13365 and the Herkimer County Humane Society, 514 State Rte 5S, Mohawk, NY 13407. Memorial contributions may be made to either of these organizations in memory of Claudette and these kind gestures are preferred over floral offerings. Please omit flowers.
Her surviving cousins are Pamela Grande, Joan (Clarence) Kohn, Patricia Vail, Janet (Claude) Campbell, Bernadette (Bill) Peet, Peter (Robin) Winkelman, Donald (Carol) Woolever, Carol Russo, Peter Mlinar, John (Margaret) Sheehan and Linda Sheehan.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024. It will be at 10:00 a.m. and will be private and inclusive for family and friends. This will be an Interment Ceremony and will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. There are no calling hours.
