Clarence V. Petty

ILION – Clarence V. Petty, age 84, of Ilion, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at Upstate Medical Center , Syracuse .

He was born on July 17, 1935, in Marietta , Ohio , the son of George G. and Ida May (Noland) Petty and attended Newport, Ohio schools.  On September 29, 1956, he was married to Doris Myers, in Ilion .  She died on December 12, 2017.  Clarence was employed as a Tool & Die Maker, at Bendix Corp., in Utica , for over 40 years.

Surviving family members include his daughters, Diana Clark and her husband, Rev. Glen Clark, of Ilion and Deborah Petty, of Whitesboro; his son, Duane Petty, of Ilion; his grandchildren, Thomas and Katherine Clark; his great-grandchildren, Daniel and Paul; his sisters, Edna Dye, Alice Binegar and Bertha Lou Terrill; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his wife; parents; and 2 brothers, Robert Wesley Petty and George Petty.

Memorial Services will be held at the convenience of the family, at the First Baptist Church of Ilion, corner of Second St. and Otsego St. , Ilion .
