Richmondville, NY: Mrs. Clara M. Fox, 88, of Summit Street, Richmondville, NY, passed away on February 6, 2011 in St. Johnsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, St. Johnsville, NY.
Clara was born on January 4, 1923 in Quincy, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Malcolm and Clementine (Taylor) Meadows. Clara was married to Charles Lambert, who passed away in 1955. She later married Edward Fox, who passed away on June 6, 1976. Prior to living in Richmondville, Clara also resided in Ashtabula, Ohio, and North Carolina. She was employed as Head of Housekeeping at Ashtabula General Hospital, Ashtabula, Ohio.
Mrs. Fox is survived by her loving family, Charles Lambert and his wife Gerri of SC, Judy Gill and husband Danny, also of SC, Jerry Lambert and his wife Cheryl of Painesville, OH, Jill Dougherty and her husband David of Richmondville, NY with whom Clara resided with, and Bryon Fox of Georgia, a sister, Betty Childress of Dupont City, WV, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two sons, Larry and Gary Lambert, a brother, Malcolm Meadows, Jr., and two sisters, Sybil Hill and Mary Stone.
There are no calling hours, and the funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the staff of the St. Johnsville Nursing Home for the care and kindness shown to Clara during her stay there. The family is being served by Daniel J. Enea-Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY 13365.
